Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health experts suggest the following to help ease the stress of the past 15 months: enjoy stress free activity, meditation, exercise and physical activity, adopt healthy eating habits and socializing.

For our elders the lack of socialization with family impacted mental health. If you and your elders are fully vaccinated, now is the time to visit, go for a walk, go to the park, enjoy a backyard barbecue or just sit on the patio or in the backyard and schmooze.

If you are comfortable and all are fully vaccinated, the CDC says you can remove your masks. With masks removed we can all see the smiles of our elders and they can see our smiles as we enjoy being together again.

If the pandemic has raised issues with your family as to the best care for your elders, I can assist you with mediating any elder care planning issues.
